Update to Plugin for iStockPhoto Released

Friday, March 23rd, 2007

iStockPhoto has released a small update to their Aperture upload plugin. This new version adds additional security when uploading model releases to the microstock agency.

A minor update to the iStockphoto Aperture plugin has been released. This updates makes the uploading of model releases more secure. If you use the plug-in then you must upgrade to version 1.1.1 before March 30. After that time you will receive an error when attempting to upload a model release with older versions of the plug-in.

Flash Album Exporter Updated… Again!

Friday, March 9th, 2007

Ken Welch has released another update to his Flash Album Exporter plugin for Aperture, which allows for one click export to three Flash based galleries from AirTight Interactive. This most recent version, available for free download on his website, adds the ability to save previous settings between export sessions. As mentioned in yesterday’s post, Welch has also added the bonus functionality of being able to export images from Aperture for use with the Javascript routines, Graybox and Lightbox.

One of the first things that jumped out at us was the fact that with Welch’s plugin, you don’t need to download anything from the AirTight website. It’s all built right into the plugin for you! Simply click export, fill in your settings and you are done. Between the beautiful flash galleries developed by AirTight Interactive, and this really simple to install and easy to use plugin from Ken Welch, making Flash galleries from within Aperture has never been easier.

Flash Album Exporter Updated

Thursday, March 8th, 2007

Ken Welch has just updated his Flash Album Exporter plugin for Aperture. As mentioned in a previous post, Welch’s plugin allows easy export of images from within Aperture to a number of applications from the software company Airtight Interactive.

This latest release, which is available for free download form his website, adds support for two new Javascript photo albums, Greybox and Lightbox. Welch says that while he realizes Javascript is not Flash, he has had many requests for this functionality and has simply been hesitant to change the name to something more appropriate.
