Apertures API only allows for export at this time. Hopefully we will see this type of functionality in the future as there are already tons of would-be great imaging plug-ins out there that could really help expand Aperture... we shall see.

Is it possible to create an imaging plug-in for Aperture (not just export)? I'd really like to see a vignette filter in there (to darken edges), and I'd be willing to work on it myself. But, I don't know where to start, or if Aperture's API allows for it.

Any suggestions? Is this possible? Thanks!

Fotki would be cool. If you have a request for a plugin, please put it in the <a href="http://www.aperturepluggedin.com/forum/wishes/" rel="nofollow">Wish List</a> in the forums.
