If you have been a part of developing a plug-in and would like to have it listed here, just send me an email via our contact page. I will gladly list your plug-in and allow you to post updates and news whenever you see fit.
What is an Aperture Plug-in? - A plug-in is a term that typically refers to a small application, written by a third party, which allows two applications to work together. With the release of Aperture 1.5, third party developers are now able to create plug-ins, which can connect Aperture to their own applications and web services.
Where can I find information about a plugin? - Well, you have come to the right place. There are three sections on this site you should check out.
- First, each plugin that has been listed with this site has been given a special section. On the sidebar throughout the site you can easily click your favorite plugin and find a listing of all entries that have been posted about that plugin. At the top of each plugins page you will find a short description and a direct link to the plugins website.
- Second, there is a special page devoted to listing all the plugins we have heard about. These will be divided into categories and will include brief descriptions and links to their corresponding websites.
- Lastly, you can always search through the forums to find discussion topics about the plugin you are interested in. Here you will find talk about plugin in development, help with plugins, and plugins that don’t even exist yet.
Does Apple own this site? - No. This site is was developed as an independent project to create a centralized meeting place for all to enjoy. However, we have been working closely with our friends at Apple who have been nice enough to offer input and advice. That being said, we have to state here that the opinions and content of this website are solely those of its authors.
Who is this Micah character? - Well, that’s me, Micah Walter. I am a freelance photojournalist, writer and teacher. Recently I have been writing articles and blogging about Aperture on the Inside Aperture website. But for the most part I am a working professional photographer currently hanging out on a tropical island in the Caribbean. If you would like to contact me directly, just drop me an email via our contact page.
