Reihard Ubel has updated his BorderFX plugin to version 1.1. This new version adds the following features.

1. Updated to work with Aperture 2.0
2. Drop Shadow around the image.
3. Flip image horizontally and/or vertically.
4. Automatic image scaling now allows manual adjustment, to crop part of the image.
5. Scale the image, between sized to fit in border, and 100%.
6. Apply sharpening to image after scaling.
7. New options for Title and Copyright text, including drop shadow.
8. Improved zooming.
9. Improved User Interface.

Aperture BorderFX is a nifty export plugin for Aperture 1.5.6 and later that will apply various borders to your shots on output. Version 1.0.5 includes bug fixes, new options, and an improved text inspector. Some of the new options include support for watermarks in the border, a Blur, and a Desaturate border effect

The plugin requires Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.11 or Leopard 10.5.1 and Aperture 1.5.6.

Reinhard Uebel has released a new Aperture plugin that allows users to add custom borders to their images as they export them. The plugin, called BorderFX is currently available as a free download in beta form.

BorderFX adds to the small selection of plugins which actually alter your images. Most plugins so far have been developed for the sole purpose of uploading images to web services, so it is really nice to see a new plugin which is modifying the image. Very cool!
