BorderFX Updated Again

Reihard Ubel has updated his BorderFX plugin to version 1.1. This new version adds the following features.

  1. Updated to work with Aperture 2.0
  2. Drop Shadow around the image.
  3. Flip image horizontally and/or vertically.
  4. Automatic image scaling now allows manual adjustment, to crop part of the image.
  5. Scale the image, between sized to fit in border, and 100%.
  6. Apply sharpening to image after scaling.
  7. New options for Title and Copyright text, including drop shadow.
  8. Improved zooming.
  9. Improved User Interface.


 

 

Aperture2Gmail v.05 With New Features

Juan Leon recently released Aperture2Gmail v0.5. The update includes a few new features as well as a host of bug fixes.

Some of the new features include:

  1. Added support for Google Apps for Your Domain
  2. Added Contact List Searching
  3. Added optional “Emailed To” Keyword/tagging with recipients and Time stamps.
  4. Support for the official Google API. The logging in process should be faster and error messages should be easier to understand.
  5. Bug fixes.

FlickrExport Updated Again

Fraser Spears has recently bumped FlickrExport to 1.0.8. The update includes a bug fix and work around for an Aperture 2.0 and 2.0.1 bug. The full details can be read here. The update is available for free to current user and a new license will run buyers the usual £14.


 

 

David Holmes Releases Updates for 2.0

Holmes currently has plugins for use with the popular websites, Zenfolio, SmugMug and Phanfare.

YouSendIt Releases Updated Plugin for Aperture 2

YouSendIt has released version 2 of their YouSendIt plugin for Aperture. This new version supports the following new features:

  1. Resumable uploads
  2. Subscribers can send any number of files in one upload
  3. Recipient email address is auto filled when user starts typing the address.

The version is also compatible with Aperture 2.0.


 

 

iStockPhoto Aperture Plugin 1.1.3

Popular stock photography site, iStockPhoto, has released version 1.1.3 of their plug-in. Perhaps most importantly, version 1.1.3 includes Aperture 2 compatibility.

In addition to bug fixes, iStockPhoto has reduced theiri keyword requirement from 10 keywords to 5 making it easier when uploading photos. You can grab the free plug-in here.

Übermind Updates 3 Plugins

Übermind has recently released updates for ÜberÜpload,Aperture to Picasa, and Aperture to Archive.

ÜberÜpload 2.0.1, Aperture to Picasa 1.3.2, and Aperture to Archive 1.1.2 updates have “Resolved Aperture compatibility issues” with Aperture 2. ÜberÜpload runs $24.95, Aperture to Picasa runs $24.95, and Aperture to Archive runs $14.95. All three products have a free 15-day trial version for download.

FlickrExport Updated For Aperture 2.0

Fraser Speirs of Connected flow is at it again! FlickrExport has just been updated to version 1.0.7. This new version is the first plugin we have seen that has specific features for users of Aperture 2.0. FlickrExport now takes advantage of Aperture’s handling of lens EXIF data and will automatically tag the image to the lens in Flickr.

This feature is only available for users of the paid version of FlickrExport, which runs £14. The plugin remains compatible with Aperture version 1.5.


 

 

ApertureToArchive Version 1.1.1

  1. Added warning when attempting to export to an unwritable location
  2. Resolved sporadic export warnings for some licensed users

ApertureToPictage Leaves Beta

ApertureToPictage v1.0Micah Walter of Aperture Plugged In has released ApertureToPictage version 1.0. The update will allow wedding and event photographers to upload their photos to Pictage in a fast and easy manner. The new version includes major code rewrites and allows background export if you’re on Aperture 1.5.x (now standard in Aperture 2.0) and great time-saving features including the ability to create a new Pictage event from within Aperture. Here’s a quick rundown of all the great new features:

  1. Upload speeds are now up to three times as fast as they were with the beta version.
  2. There is now a really cool drag and drop user interface that allows you to edit and re-sort your Pictage categories.
  3. The plugin now allows for queueing of jobs so you can rack up a number of batches and let it run over night.
  4. You can also resume an upload if your computer crashes, or if you loose your internet connection. It just picks up where you left off.
  5. Additionally you can also choose to save your exported files to disk for other purposes.

The update is provided free of charge to all Pictage Pro members. You can download the plugin through this link, but you must be logged into Pictage. The plugin is compatible with the new Aperture 2.0.
