Lightbox Software has just released Lightbox XMP, an Aperture plugin which allows for extended export of images with XMP sidecar files. Lightbox, which is known for its professional image management software says this product is meant to be used as a tool for Aperture users and is separate from their own image management package.

Lightbox Software is pleased to announce the
release of Lightbox XMP, an export plugin for Apple Aperture, which
provides full XMP export support. The plugin supports everything from
creating sidecar XMP files, containing IPTC and EXIF data, for referenced
master images to embedding XMP data into exported files. Lightbox XMP is a
free download, with a donation requested to encourage future plugin
development, available at http://www.lightboxsoftware.com/aperture/.
